Hair Republic Salon

Hair Republic Salon was started by Heidi Breaker and Rylee Martin, who spent fifteen years at a high-end salon and spa in Seattle before deciding in October 2011 to open their own. Their goal was a more personal guest experience. The salon opened in January 2013.

The salon grew in its early years. In 2014 it added three artists and opened a new location, and in 2016 two more artists joined. Today it has five independent artists alongside its master stylists and colorists. The salon describes its artists as hand-picked and elite, and describes its setting as luxurious and its atmosphere as intimate.

Color is a major focus. Services include color alone, partial and full foil, partial and full balayage, bleach toning with treatment, and corrective color, which is offered by consultation. Keratin Complex smoothing and express blowouts, deep conditioning, Olaplex and Bond Builder treatments, perms and relaxers are also on the menu. Haircuts, men's cuts, children's cuts for those under 12, signature blowouts and special occasion updos round out the range. Listed prices differ by stylist, with haircuts ranging from $75 to $95.

Consultations and bang trims are complimentary with the stylists who offer them. Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less notice are charged the full price of the services booked.

The salon's focus is a personal, unhurried experience, with each artist tailoring color and cuts to the individual client.
