Hair Color Lab

Hair Color Lab is run by Shannon Matheny from a studio inside Sola Salon Studios on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. Hair color is the main focus of the business.

Each visit is one-on-one, so the stylist can get to know the client and their hair before any color is chosen. The color products used are organic and free of ammonia, and the appointment is not shared with other clients or the usual salon noise.

The studio also carries Oway, an organic hair color, care and styling line from Italy made with biodynamic, organic and fair trade ingredients. The salon describes Oway as the first professional organic hair color, care and styling line in the world. Oway comes in glass and aluminum containers that can be recycled or reused, and empty containers can be brought back to be refilled at 10% off. Clients can also buy Oway home hair care products.

A complimentary consultation is offered, and appointments or consultation requests can be made by calling or texting the studio. The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and closed Sunday and Monday.

Each client is seen individually so the stylist can learn about the client and their hair, using organic and non-ammonia color products.
