The menu is built around color. Services include a gloss or toner for color and shine refresh, root touch-ups for gray coverage, all-over color from roots to ends or roots with gloss, and several levels of balayage and highlights, from face-framing brightening to full balayage. A 30-minute consultation is available for color or extension work, and its $50 cost is credited toward a service you book afterward.

Extensions are a major part of the work. The studio handles clip-in installs with a cut, tip installs, and weft move-ups with one or two rows, along with removal. Extension services are offered for hair ordered or installed by the salon, and new clients need to reach out before booking them.

Haircuts start at $65 and do not go shorter than chin length. Blowouts and bang trims are reserved for returning clients, and new clients are asked to book a haircut before a bang trim. A keratin smoothing treatment is also offered; it lasts about 12 weeks and takes around 150 minutes.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before an appointment, and no-call no-shows, carry a 95% fee. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 or $200 amounts, or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final. For true emergencies, clients are asked to get in touch directly.

Hair By Nicki works by appointment only, and the stylist says the aim is to help each client reach their hair goals.
