Everyday services cover women's haircuts, a tapered men's cut that can follow a traditional barber style, customized men's grooming, and a children's haircut for ages 13 and under. Blowouts, up-dos shaped with heated tools and pinning, and special occasion styling are also offered. For longer-lasting smoothing, the business offers a Smoothing Express and a fuller Smoothing Treatment, with pricing based on hair length and density. Hair relaxers and full-head hair extension applications are available as well.
Bridal work is the business's main focus. Services range from a single bridal preview and style to multi-day packages. Just the Bride includes a preview consultation and style, a night-before hair pre-set and a day-of style. A Bride & Her Party covers up to six members for up to six hours, and the Full-Experience package covers up to ten members for up to nine hours, with rates that may change once the final timeline is presented. Touch-ups and look changes are part of the bridal packages, and an additional artist is available for parties of six or more. Consultations and previews can be held at a private studio in Chicago or at either salon, and mobile previews are available for an additional $50.
Booking works best well in advance, typically six to twelve months before the wedding. A date is not held until a contract is signed and a 50% deposit is received, with the remaining balance due on or before the wedding day before services begin. A bridal consultation and trial can be scheduled two to three months before the wedding, after the deposit. The business recommends booking a separate engagement hair appointment rather than the trial on the day of an engagement shoot. Bridal rates include tax, while parking and gratuities are charged separately. There is no travel fee within Greater Chicago, and destination weddings are quoted at custom rates that exclude travel and accommodation.
Payment is accepted by personal check, Venmo, Zelle and major credit cards through Square. Card payments through Square carry a 3% service charge added to the total.
Bridal services are planned around each couple's timeline, from an early preview and consultation through touch-ups on the wedding day.
