Hair by Alyssa is run by independent stylist Alyssa Barry through her own LLC, working from a suite at 97 Great Road in Acton. Her menu covers color, hand-tied extensions, bridal trials, haircuts and styling, and treatments.
Color is organized as tiered packages, from a quick gray coverage application with no cut or blowout to a full-head transformation using foils, balayage, lowlights or root melt. Many services include a wash with scalp massage, and most packages finish with a blowout or styleout. Extension work begins with a consultation that looks at color, length, density and budget. Installs are followed by maintenance visits every six to eight weeks.
Bridal clients can book a two-style trial, a standard bridal trial, or a second trial after the first has been completed. Hair treatments include keratin smoothing in a standard or express version, conditioning treatments at three levels, gloss, and scalp and bond add-ons. Booking details matter here: a 72-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule, with fees for late changes, deposits apply to some bridal and extension bookings, Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for approved bookings, and gift cards come in set amounts or a custom amount and cannot be refunded.
