h4ir by camila is a Chicago hair salon at 1425 N Ashland Ave, owned and styled by Camila Montoya. The services are haircuts, grouped by length, how long it has been since the last cut, and whether the client is new or returning.

New clients with short to medium hair can book the Standard Haircut+, which costs $85 and takes 75 minutes and includes a consultation, shampoo and styling. Returning clients with short to medium hair can book the Standard Haircut at the same price for 60 minutes, and that option is only for return clients. Clients with hair past the shoulders who want to keep it long can book the Long Haircut, which starts at $90 and takes 75 minutes or more, with two options and the same consultation, shampoo and styling.

The Transformation Cut, starting at $125, is for clients who have gone five or more months without a cut and want a major change. It runs 90 minutes or more, includes an extended consultation, shampoo and styling, and comes in two options. Clients who have gone five or more months without a cut are directed to this service rather than the Standard Haircut+, Standard Haircut or Long Haircut.

Two smaller services round out the menu. The Monthly Cut is $68 for 45 minutes and is offered only to return clients who came to the owner's previous salon. It is available for short hair above the chin for clients who visit no more than every six weeks, and is not offered for high-density thick hair, which the salon directs to the Standard Haircut. Bang Trims start at $20 and take 10 minutes or more, for return clients refreshing bangs or face-framing pieces, with two options; hair must be clean and dry.

Hours are Tuesday from 12 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday and Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 4 PM. The salon is closed Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Appointment confirmations are sent one week, 72 hours and 48 hours ahead, and appointments not confirmed within 24 hours are forfeited. Cancellations within 48 hours of a service carry a fee of 40% of the service cost, and no-call no-shows are charged the full service fee and must pay a 50% deposit to book again. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may bring a $10 late fee or a rescheduling, and late arrivals must pay a 50% deposit before future bookings. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.
