The menu is organized by who the cut is for.

Beyond haircuts, the salon offers styling for everyday and formal occasions and quick add-ons such as bang trims, beard trims, neck trims and shampoo. Perms are offered at some locations, and availability should be confirmed with the salon. The salon does not provide hair coloring.

Every visit starts with a personalized consultation with the stylist, and clients can bring a haircut photo to guide the conversation. Clip Notes keep technical details from a client's previous cuts at any Great Clips salon, so a different stylist can repeat the same haircut.

According to the salon, its stylists continue their education in more advanced methods, contemporary looks, and client care. The salon also supports several community initiatives. People in cancer treatment can receive no-cost clipper trims through Clips of Kindness, and on Veterans Day service members may get a no-charge cut or a card for one. Donors to Wigs for Kids are offered a free haircut at participating salons.
