This Great Clips is one of the franchise's salons in Bardstown and is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee, who sets prices and handles hiring. Because of that, prices and services can differ from other locations and may change over time, and taxes and fees may be added.

Haircuts are the core of the menu, with separate sections for men, women, children and seniors.

Each visit starts with a personal consultation before the cut. The salon keeps Clip Notes, which record technical details of past haircuts so that any Great Clips stylist can repeat the same cut on a return visit. Clients can also browse the company's haircut lookbook online before they come in to pick a look.

Stylists receive ongoing training in current hairstyles, advanced techniques and customer care, and the company says they are trained in modern haircutting and barbershop methods. The salon also accommodates children and adults with sensory or special needs and will work with reasonable requests.

The salon takes part in Clips of Kindness, which offers complimentary clipper cuts to people undergoing cancer treatment, and in Thank a Veteran on Veterans Day (November 11), when it offers free haircuts or haircut cards to active and veteran service members. Clients should ask the salon whether it takes part in the Wigs for Kids program.

Each visit opens with a consultation, and the salon records the details of each cut so it can be repeated on later visits.
