Good Daze is a waxing studio in Columbus that owner Asia Jones opened in 2022, after several years of waxing at a national chain. Brazilian waxing is the core of the business, and the menu extends to body, face, brow and men's waxing, plus lash lifts and lash tinting.

About

The studio describes itself as judgment-free and welcoming of every body, identity and hair type. It says it welcomes plus-size, trans, LGBTQ+ and postpartum clients, as well as first-timers. Pregnant clients are welcome, and anyone at higher risk is asked to check with their doctor first.

Before a visit, clients are asked to arrive about five minutes early, shower, skip lotion that day and wear loose clothing. Hair should be at least a quarter inch long and should not be trimmed beforehand. Brazilian and bikini waxes are booked once hair has grown out to roughly 2.5 to 3 weeks. Clients are draped as needed, receive a quick cleanse before each wax, and intimate wipes are available. No numbing creams are used. Waxing is not done on areas that are inflamed, itchy, flaky or broken, or on anyone visibly high or intoxicated. Clients should mention medications such as retinoids, Accutane or certain antibiotics.

The studio is just off Interstate 270, near Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital, about five minutes from Flannagan's Dublin, and parking is free in the plaza out front. Clients commonly travel from Dublin, Powell, Worthington, Hilliard, Newark, Pickerington and Dayton. Appointments can be booked online or by phone or text. Some services take a deposit at booking, such as underarms, full face and the Brazilian plus full butt for penis. Full legs are not taking new clients, and upper legs and brow wax and tint are offered to returning clients only. Hours listed are Wednesday 12:30pm to 8pm, Friday 9am to 3pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm, closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday; Thursday hours are also listed, so confirm the time when booking.

Waxing is done with soft and hard wax, and the studio says its results are precise and consistent. Men's waxing and brow waxing each follow a set sequence from consultation to aftercare.
