Mahyda Rubio opened Golden Touch in old town Orange more than 20 years ago. The clinic describes itself as privately women owned and presents itself as a trusted option for electrolysis and facials in Orange County.

Electrolysis can be performed on any area of the body where hair grows, using thermolysis, galvanic, or a blend of the two. The clinic offers it for PCOS-related unwanted hair growth, for teen clients, and for gender-affirming care, including preparation for gender reassignment surgery. Treatments are not denied based on gender identity or sexual orientation. Brazilian, Manzilian, and bottom or GRS work is priced at $90 per 30 minutes, a consultation is listed at $90, and two hour packages are available with Asami or Valeria Z. For skin care, the Radiance Facial is a 60-minute treatment using vitamin C, peptides and botanical extracts, and the Dream Facial: Calming runs 90 minutes and includes sound therapy. Aftercare products include a balm cream and an exfoliating gel, given free with certain packages when paid in cash.

New patients are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and established patients 5 minutes early, since arriving 10 or more minutes late may mean treatment cannot take place. A $45 deposit is required to book a first electrologist session and goes toward the total at checkout. Cancellations under 24 hours and no-shows carry a $50 fee, which clients who save a card on Vagaro agree to. Kaiser and VA patients with a physician or specialist referral are accepted. Insurance covers only medically necessary electrolysis, so for other insurers clients can pay in full and the office can submit a claim that is not guaranteed to be covered. Pregnant clients may begin after the first trimester with a doctor's note, and clients on prescribed medications should check with the office for clearance first.
