Golden Lash has been operating since 2017 as a studio dedicated to eyelash extensions, and it takes appointments only. The studio is on the sixth floor of the building at 939 8th Avenue, between 55th and 56th Streets, beside Guantanamera Cuban Cuisine. Only individual lash extensions are offered. A classic set uses about 80-90 pieces per eye, an extra full set about 100-110, and a 2D volume set about 150-160, with two individual pieces placed on each natural lash. Mink is the most basic lash type, available in a range of lengths and curls. Silk is lighter, darker and glossier than mink, and cashmere is the lightest type offered. The salon calls silk its premium type and cashmere its best.

Classic mink sets are $120, classic silk $130 and classic cashmere $160. Extra full sets are $140 in mink, $150 in silk and $180 in cashmere, and 2D volume sets are $160 in mink, $180 in silk and $220 in cashmere. Lash removal is $20 for extensions applied at Golden Lash and $20-$50 for extensions applied elsewhere, depending on the condition of the lashes. Prices exclude tips and tax, which are paid separately; tips can go on a card or be deducted from the deposit.

Every appointment requires a $50 deposit, paid online with the client's name and phone number. The deposit holds the time slot for one hour and is refunded once the service is paid in the salon. Clients are asked to arrive 10 minutes early. Extra full and 2D sets take longer than a classic set, so it helps to mention this to the receptionist ahead of time. Refills are offered within 30 days of the last application, priced by how many days have passed: 1-9 days, 10-17 days, 18-24 days or 25-30 days. Lashes applied at another salon are removed first, at $20-$50, before a new set goes on. Cancellations and reschedules must be made by phone at least 24 hours ahead, since text, messaging and email changes are not accepted, and minor fixes are free if requested within three days of the visit. Changing length, material, thickness, curl or style requires a $20 removal fee plus a new set.

The salon uses individual extensions only, with each length pattern chosen to suit the shape of the eye. It notes that the look of each style varies from person to person because eye shape and natural lash volume differ.
