GOLD LEAF SPA, LLC

Gold Leaf Spa opened in 2013 at 500 Helendale Road, Suite 150, in Rochester. It is a massage and spa business, and the owner, Kate Reuter, is a licensed massage therapist who has worked as an independent practitioner for 16 years. The business is a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.

The massage menu covers couples massage, Swedish massage, hot stone massage, a Thai herbal compress massage, pregnancy massage and foot reflexology. Listed prices start at $70 for a 30-minute Swedish massage, $85 for a 45-minute herbal compress session and $75 for a 45-minute reflexology session, with longer Swedish and hot stone options also listed. Couples massage includes warm tables, hot towels, a choice of essential oil aromatherapy, warm foot wraps, eye pillows and refreshments, and both people must be at least 21.

The spa menu centers on vinotherapy, which uses Caudalie products and a blend of grapeseed oil, white wine, honey and lavender essential oil. A honey and wine wrap is listed at $130 for 60 minutes and can be paired with a Botanical Refresher Facial Massage. Other spa treatments include a seasonal scrub and dry body brushing. The business advises against vinotherapy for people who are highly sensitive to sulfur compounds. Wellness services include an infrared dry sauna and light therapy for seasonal affective disorder, and a couples massage can be booked with an infrared sauna package.

Booking policies ask for 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. No-shows are charged the full fee for the scheduled services, and late arrivals may have sessions shortened while the full fee still applies. Gift certificates can be bought by phone or in person Monday through Saturday, paid with cash or credit card, expire one year from purchase and are non-refundable. A Gift Nook on site sells merchandise, which gift certificates cannot be used for.

Built around the link between body and mind, with massage offered as a natural way to feel well and restore balance.

The couples room has soft music, essential oil aromatherapy, candlelight and a fireplace, and the business describes its space as peaceful and beautiful.
