Glow Kansas City

Glow Kansas City is owned and operated by Audrey Thrasher, and it focuses on spray tanning. Studio tans take place at Sola Salons on Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri, and mobile house calls cover the Waldo and Brookside area and beyond.

Each tan is airbrushed to suit the individual client, with the aim of a natural-looking finish that works for all skin tones. A studio visit begins with a skin consultation, followed by a choice of a standard or express formula. Disposables and barrier lotion are used, and the tan is set with finishing powder. A studio spray tan starts at $55 and takes 20 minutes or more.

House call tans are available with either an 8-hour solution or a rapid solution, starting at $90 and taking 60 minutes or more. A $10 hydration enhancement can be added. Clients are asked to wait at least 8 hours before showering, getting wet or sweating. Mileage fees apply to appointments more than 15 miles outside the Waldo and Brookside area.

The studio offers a Wedding Tan Package for two events, with each tan priced at $65 or more and taking 20 minutes or more. The package is $130.00, and each tan includes prep and aftercare instructions, custom color, a rapid solution, hydration enhancement and setting powder. A $25 monthly membership, billed on the first of each month with a three-month commitment before moving to month-to-month billing, gives 50% off studio spray tans (house calls excluded), 10% off retail products and a free tan during the birthday month.

Studio hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 9 PM, Thursday from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM. The studio is closed on Mondays and Sundays. Packages are booked through the services page, and package credits and membership benefits apply automatically at checkout. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the reserved service amount, and no-shows are charged the full service amount.

Each tan is custom-blended and airbrushed to suit the client's skin tone, aiming for a natural-looking result.
