A beauty professional with over two decades in the industry owns the spa. The aim is for each guest to leave relaxed, at ease and with a healthy-looking glow. Head spa guests come from Redmond, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Kirkland and Seattle, and the spa also draws nearby residents of Newcastle and downtown Bellevue.

The space has six individual private treatment rooms rather than curtained areas. Three are used for massage, and two larger rooms are set up so couples can receive massage side by side. Head spa treatments also take place in a private room. There is dedicated spa parking, plus public parking nearby, and restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

Head spa menus run from a 30-minute dry head spa with essential oil up to 90-minute Luxury, Herbal Waterfall and HydraFacial scalp treatments. The salon says guests tend to find its Ginger Head Spa, Herbal Waterfall Head Spa and Ginger Body Wrap feel different from a typical spa visit. Massage styles include Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic, Japanese shiatsu and essential oil with hot stone, and the team describes its massage and head spa therapists as especially experienced in deep tissue and lymphatic work.

Facials open with a skin consultation and close with an Asian-style massage of the face, neck and shoulders. The menu runs from a 45-minute mini facial to HydraFacial options, with several treatments aimed at blemish-prone skin, brightening and lifting. Nail and lash services are handled by team members who specialize in those areas. Waxing is done with honey wax in private rooms.

Packages bundle two or more treatments at a discount, for example a head spa combined with a massage, or a facial combined with a pedicure. Clients may redeem a package's services together in one visit or spread them across separate visits, provided they are used within 12 months. Gift cards can be purchased online and apply to any service, including packages and the infrared sauna. Online booking displays same-day openings, and phone bookings are also accepted.

Clients are asked what they want before a treatment begins and are checked on during the service. Facials start with a consultation in which the esthetician asks about the skin and recommends a facial.
