The salon was founded in 2002 by licensed esthetician Shelley North and began as a small Mist-On tanning booth beside a single skincare treatment room. It is now a multi-service boutique on Washington Street in Braintree, and its skin care side remains central to what it offers.

Airbrush tanning is done by a licensed technician with a handheld machine, in light, medium and dark shades. Standard tans stay on for 8 to 12 hours, while RAPID tans are rinsed within a maximum of four hours and keep developing for a day. The tan solution is developed in Australia and is described as organic, vegan, gluten free and free of sulfates and nuts. For those who prefer a booth, the VersaSpa heated sunless booth offers two shade families and four depths of color, with pre-tan and post-tan add-ons.

Facial menus range from a customizable Glow Facial and the Deluxe Glow Facial, which includes a peel, extractions and a Hydro-Jelly mask, to acne, rosacea and Reiki-based facials. Hydrafacial options run from the Signature to the Platinum, with Restore and HydraGlow variations and package pricing. The salon also offers dermaplaning, microneedling, LED light therapy, IPL hair removal and photofacials, and injectables. A nurse consultation is required before any injectable appointment, and the bridal packages include a complimentary consult with a registered nurse.

The salon's estheticians offer speed waxing, lash services, brow work, airbrush tanning and skincare, according to the salon, which says its staff keep up with advanced esthetician training. Salon Today Magazine named the business to its list of 200 leading U.S. salons for staff education in May 2024. The salon also lists several local and regional awards and says readers have voted it the South Shore's best for waxing, spray tans and facials for more than 14 years.

Booking can be made by phone, online or through the salon app. First-time guests are asked to call guest services, and walk-ins are welcome, though booking two to four weeks ahead is recommended. Appointments are confirmed by email, text or phone 48 to 72 hours beforehand, and guests running late are asked to call ahead. A credit card is needed to book but is charged only after the service, unless a guest does not show or cancels with less than 24 hours notice. Gratuities are not included in prices and are not added to card payments, though envelopes are available at checkout and there is an ATM inside.
