About

Every technician is licensed by the State of Illinois, and clients usually see the same technician, who keeps notes on how their nails have changed since the last visit. Each service is booked for the full time it takes, and the salon says appointments are never rushed. Every service includes a complimentary drink, such as matcha, espresso, decaf, hot chocolate, chamomile, a chilled mocktail or sparkling drink, up to two per guest per appointment. The salon has no sauna, steam room or massage table.

Russian manicures and pedicures use an e-file technique for cuticle care and dry prep. It works the cuticle back rather than cutting it. Gel-X extensions are soft gel tips fitted to the nail and cured, with no acrylic, and they are applied without harsh monomers or heavy filing so the natural nail underneath stays intact. The Natural Nail Wellness Overlay, a structured gel placed over the natural nail, is the service the salon labels its most loved.

The GlossHaus Protocol is a course of visits over three or six months. A HEMA-free builder gel is applied over the natural nail and refilled every three to four weeks. The builder gel adds no length and does not replace the nail; the salon states that it helps protect nails while they grow and does not claim to repair, heal or treat them. Each visit is photographed before any filing, and the photos stay in the client's file, shared only with separate consent. A complimentary 15-minute assessment comes before starting.

Nail health comes first. The salon protects and maintains nails rather than treating nail conditions, and each service is given its full time.
