Gloss Hair Lounge

Gloss Hair Lounge works out of a private salon suite on the fourth floor of Studioworks Ballard, reached by elevator. Owner Anya Sudarkina opened the business in 2021, and the salon's stated priority is building long-term relationships with clients who return over time.

The core services are custom color and K-tip extensions. Color work covers all-over color, creative color, balayage and foils, and bleach and tone, and the salon also offers weft extensions alongside its K-tip work.

Visits are by appointment only, and the salon is open Wednesday through Friday and on Saturday mornings and early afternoons. Each client has the suite to themselves. New clients are currently taken for extensions, or for color paired with extensions, and must complete a client form and a consultation before booking. Extension applications ask about hair history and current hair photos, and a personalized pricing estimate follows that review.

Arriving clients buzz in at the building callbox by dialing 414 or by finding the salon in the callbox list. Free street parking is available on 14th and 54th streets, while spots directly in front of Studioworks are limited to two hours. Clients who arrive more than five minutes early are asked to wait in the fourth floor area outside the elevator.

The salon states that its work starts with trust, and that it wants to be a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ people and people from every background.
