A visit starts with a 15-minute consultation, virtual or in person, to pair you with a stylist. An in-person consultation is recommended before lightening for box dye or naturally dark hair, and it is required before Bleach & Tone Full and Corrective Color. Full Blonding and Bleach & Tone Full may be priced hourly depending on the stylist, and Corrective Color is hourly based on what the service needs. Extra long or extra thick hair is booked as Additional Styling.

Beyond hair, the salon offers tinting, lifting and laminating for brows and lashes, plus facials. The GBK Signature Facial is a 45-minute personalized session that starts with a skin analysis by the esthetician. The Dermaplaning Facial is a 30-minute treatment that removes peach fuzz and dead skin, with a cleanse and hydrating mask. Bridal hair and makeup can be done on location or in the salon, with a complimentary bridal consultation booked online or by email.

Booking is by appointment only, through the online system or by email. A credit or debit card is kept on file at booking. Changes or cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice are charged half the reserved total, same-day changes are charged in full, and no-call, no-show appointments are charged the full total. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may shorten the service or lead to rescheduling. Adjustment requests go through the management team by email within two weeks of the service, and hair extensions and retail purchases are final.

The salon is at 254 36th Street, Space C230S, in the same building as The Food Hall. The nearest subway is 36th Street on the DNR line, and R and D trains run nearby. Street and meter parking is available, with a paid lot along 2nd Avenue, and bike parking is on the 2nd Avenue side of the building. It is closed on Mondays, open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 8pm, and open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Clients are matched with a stylist through a 15-minute virtual or in-person consultation, and the salon says it celebrates each client's beauty, style, hair texture and personal expression.
