GloryNailz began in 2019, when owner Freddie decided to learn to do her own nails. The business started under the name Simply Drissy Nails and was later renamed GloryNailz.
The salon favors fewer clients and more careful work over high volume, and gives each set of nails extended time. Its stated mission is to bring each client's nails to the look they want, and its vision is a person-centered visit in which clients can express their own preferences.
Appointments are required and walk-ins are not accepted. Each session is for one person, with no guests, including children, and each appointment takes at least two hours. The address is sent the day before. Clients whose nails were done elsewhere must arrive with bare nails, and anyone arriving with enhancements, including clear or colored gel polish, must have them fully removed first. Shaping is not charged at this time, and freestyle designs can be booked. Appointments are booked through the website, with a non-refundable $30 deposit required to confirm. Zelle and cash are accepted; Cash App, PayPal and Venmo are not. Cancellations and rescheduling need 24 hours' notice, and late arrivals have a 15-minute grace period.
The salon's hours are Monday through Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Thursday and Sunday closed. Services outside regular hours can be arranged by email for an added convenience fee. Pedicures are not offered at this time. Acrylic services are handled on a case-by-case basis, so clients should contact the salon for details.
The salon focuses on careful, unhurried work and on each client's own preferences for their nails.
