The salon says its purpose is to help women of color feel confident, free and well informed about wearing their natural hair.

Visits are built around education as well as styling. The salon aims to teach clients about their natural hair and to apply recommended hair practices with each client and each style. Clients who wear locs are told that locs should be retwisted about every three weeks until budding begins, and that combining or separating locs requires a consultation first. The salon also describes five loc stages, starter, budding, teen, mature and rooted, each with different care needs.

Braid and twist services include the hair in the price. Box braids and twists are listed as lasting about six to eight weeks, and protective styles on natural hair last two to three weeks and include a wash. The salon says its hairstyles have been featured on WE TV's Cutting it in the ATL, VH1's Leave it to Stevie and Fox's Star.

The salon is open Wednesday through Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday. Hours are 8:30 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday.
