Glo Head Spa

Glo Head Spa combines Japanese head spa practice with Korean skincare in a studio in Tulsa. The studio describes itself as Tulsa's premier Japanese head spa and Korean skincare studio.

The Japanese head spa tradition it draws on is rooted in hari no kiyomitzuke, a ritual purification of the scalp, so scalp care sits at the center of the work. Facials pair that approach with a curated line of Korean skincare formulas.

A head spa visit centers on scalp, neck and shoulder massage, finished with warm towels infused with a signature oil blend. Treatments are tailored to each client's scalp health, skin concerns and preferences, and optional tools such as jade combs, oxygen therapy and steam can be added.

Facials include Gua Sha sculpting with a smooth flat stone, usually jade or rose quartz, and lymphatic drainage massage that can be customized. Neck work is part of facials and head spa services, and can also be booked as a focused massage.

The studio uses Milbon scalp and hair treatments, which the studio says were developed through more than 60 years of Japanese research and are tested in over 1,000 salons. Milbon is sold only through licensed spas and salons, and the studio keeps a limited supply of take-home products. The space has soft lighting and curated soundscapes, a Scent Bar with aromatherapy rituals each paired with a healing crystal, and refreshments such as matcha, sencha, mugicha and yuzu honey water.

Each treatment is tailored to the client's scalp health, skin concerns and preferences, with scalp care at the center of the philosophy.
