GlamaGrrl Nails

GlamaGrrl Nails is a private nail salon in Hampden, Baltimore, run as a sole proprietorship. Services cover manicures, pedicures and gel polish, and each one is adjusted to the individual client.

The E-file manicure is done dry, so the cuticle is exfoliated rather than cut. A structured manicure adds a thin gel base over the natural nail before color polish. It is also called a Russian manicure, BIAB or builder gel manicure, and was once known as an overlay. Gel polish is used for any service that includes color or nail art.

The waterless pedicure uses the E-file for cuticle and callus care and can also address thick or misshapen toenails. A luxury add-on is available for the basic pedicure.

Every service begins with a free consultation, in person or by Instagram DM or email. Clients may bring their own traditional polish to be applied during a service; the service charge stays the same in that case, but wear durability is not guaranteed. Buy Now, Pay Later is available through the booking platform for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Gift cards are offered. Prices reflect the owner's costs and a wage for her skill and level of practice. Tipping is optional, and reviews and referrals are welcome.

Tools go through a three-step sanitation method, and all metal tools are dry-heat sterilized. Non-metal implements are discarded after each client. According to the salon, its sanitation practices go beyond state regulations. Material safety data sheets are available on request.

Selects E-file bits for each client's skin type, nail health and sensitivity, and uses nurse-level disinfection for tools.
