Glam Your Lashes by Katie Sandberg

Glam Your Lashes is run by Katie Sandberg, a lash extension specialist based in Salt Lake City. The work centers on single-lash extensions: each synthetic mink or silk extension is applied to one natural lash, in either Classic or Volume style.

Clients can book a new full set, a fill to maintain an existing set, or a half set, which places extensions on about every other top lash. Half Classic, Half Volume sets combine both styles and are described as a fuller look with the darker, bolder impression of Classic extensions. Volume full sets add two or three very fine extensions to each natural lash, and the studio calls volume the most luxurious option available. Classic full sets, which place extensions on all top lashes, start at $195 and Volume full sets are $300.

A new full set takes about 1.5 hours and a fill takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Removal is offered with a remover that is said not to damage natural lashes. According to the studio, single-lash extensions are lightweight, comfortable, waterproof and do not touch the eyelid skin, and they do not cause bald spots the way cluster or flare sets can.

Appointments can be booked by call or email, but text is preferred, since Katie often can't answer the phone while working. The studio notes that many of its clients have become close friends with her over time.
