Glam Set Go was started by sisters Sonali and Shikha, who had been working as busy executives. They set it up to give busy women access to beauty services at times and places that fit their schedules.

Clients can book in three ways: aboard the GlamTruck, a Mercedes Sprinter salon fitted with imported Italian leather chairs, where complimentary Prosecco is served; at their home; or at a venue their own. The GlamSpace in Sterling combines salon and retail floor space, and is used for one-on-one and small-group appointments, private functions, and training for both staff and consumers.

Current work centers on bridal and group services. Hair and makeup are offered for weddings, engagements, birthday parties, photoshoots and other occasions. Each bridal hair look is named and described by hair length, dress style and neckline, and the bridal makeup looks range from a natural, softly glowing finish to bolder options. The Blushing Bride makeup does not include false lashes or face contour, and Classic Chic is the recommended hair look to pair with it.

The business says its hairstylists and makeup artists are licensed and top-rated and that its team has extensive experience. Individual hair services such as coloring and cutting are planned but not yet offered. The company is also hiring hair, nail, brow and makeup professionals in Northern Virginia, with incentive pay, a flexible schedule, online booking, in-salon demos and classes, and product discounts for team members.

Booking details matter for planning. There is no travel fee within 30 miles of the GlamSpace, and locations farther out incur one. Reserving the GlamTruck carries a booking fee on top of service costs. Gratuity is not included in pricing, and a standard 20% is suggested; tips are paid in cash or by Venmo. Group appointments require a 50% deposit, which is applied to the final bill. Group appointments cannot be cancelled, but the deposit can go toward future services. A no-show is charged the full price of the scheduled services, and a $25 late fee applies for every 30 minutes a client is late or when services run over due to client delays. Clients are told right away if their team is running behind. Payment is accepted by American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. Gift cards are planned but not currently offered.

Built around convenience: beauty services are brought to the client, so busy schedules do not have to be built around a salon visit.
