Denni Santino-Herbetko bought Great Lengths Salon in 1995 and renamed it Glam Hair Studio. The salon's culture is built on respect, education and a welcoming, at-home feeling, with every guest treated as a VIP. The salon says its styles and hair color have been recognized as award-winning.

Color is the core of the work here. Services include balayage, highlights and root touch-ups, with gray blending and low-maintenance color among the specialties. The team also works on color correction, which is priced after a consultation. Tape-in extensions from Hotheads, Babe and Halo are offered, along with perm and keratin consultations and upstyling for weddings and formal events.

Booking works a little differently from a walk-in salon. A $50 reservation fee holds an appointment and is credited toward the final balance. Online requests are not appointments until the salon sends an accepted email, and requests submitted after hours are answered the next business day. Color correction, extensions and upstyling must be arranged by phone, where clients can book a consultation or be matched with a stylist. Root touch-ups, highlights and balayage cannot be booked after 7 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, or after 2 PM on Friday and Saturday. If a client needs to miss an appointment, they should call to reschedule, and the $50 fee carries over to the new visit.

Stylists come up through the salon's Associates Program and are encouraged to keep learning. The team holds in-salon classes, monthly staff meetings and one-on-one coaching for each team member.
