GLAM by Sassy has served clients since 2009 from its studio in Renton and also works with clients in Seattle. Its owners and founders are Jess Antonio and Jesseca Antonio (Jess). The business describes itself as a premier beauty collective in Seattle and says its makeup artists are professionally trained. Weddings are a specialty, and the work also covers engagement, photoshoot, corporate and commercial jobs, and special events.

Bridal hair and makeup is the core of the business. The Bridal Hair and Makeup Package, priced at $1,100, includes a bridal preview, Cryostick massage skin preparation, custom full-face makeup, professional hairstyling, a choice of faux mink strip or individual lashes, and a glam kit of touch-up tools, with on-site service at the chosen location and touch-ups during the event. The Deluxe Bridal Experience, priced at $1,800 or more, is a 2 to 2.5 hour wedding-day session. It includes a lymphatic drainage massage for the face, neck and hands, a mini facial with designer skincare and under-eye patches, and advanced treatments such as red light therapy, Cryostick facial massage and a lip scrub and mask. It also covers contouring, long-wear foundation, color correction, a customized wedding-day hairstyle, clip-in extension color matching, skin and hair analysis, a choice of lashes, and a gift of founder-selected hair, skincare and wellness products.

Brides can start with a complimentary meet and greet to talk through beauty goals, match extension colors and place extension orders. The bridal preview follows: 90 minutes for makeup only, or 2.5 to 3 hours for hair and makeup together. It covers wedding style details, inspiration photos, the final look, and the timeline and number of artists needed. The team washes and preps extensions before the preview. Clients are asked to wash and dry their hair the night before, skip flat ironing if they want curls, and bring clip-in extensions, hair accessories and inspiration photos. They are also advised to drink plenty of water, tidy their brows, use a gentle exfoliator twice a week and avoid wearing makeup that day.

The studio primarily uses Artistry Cosmetics, a prestige and clean skincare and cosmetics line it represents, and also carries a range of professional and prestige beauty products. A typical makeup application starts with a gommage facial, toner, treatment, eye serum and eye mask, followed by moisturizer and primer suited to skin type. Eye makeup goes on before foundation, followed by brows, contour, bronzer, blush, highlighter, lashes, lip color, setting powder and finishing spray. Makeup kits are said to suit every skin tone, so clients do not need to bring their own foundation unless they have an allergy. Skin care consultations and personalized routines are offered for clients with skin concerns. Makeup can reduce redness and discoloration but cannot change raised skin texture.

Booking begins with a signed contract from both parties and a 50% non-refundable retainer on all services booked. No date is held until the retainer is paid, and the remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding. Peak seasons and Saturdays require a minimum of $1,500 in services. Six to eight months of lead time is recommended for Friday and Saturday weddings from April through July or September through November. Previews are usually scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays. The business says makeup and hair pricing is custom quoted, and gratuity, travel and admin fees, parking and ferry fees are not included in listed amounts. Travel is $2 per mile round trip per artist from the Renton studio and covers fuel, tolls, parking, mileage and travel time. Weddings more than 70 miles away, or starting before 7am, require overnight accommodation the night before, and services before 7am carry an additional fee. Out-of-state events add a surcharge of $500 to $1,200 or more. Approximate per-artist costs are $350 for Coeur d'Alene and Boise, Idaho, $500 for Dallas, $600 for Houston and $400 for Missoula, Montana, and exclude flights, lodging and other transport. Cancelling more than 60 days before the service date costs 50% of the total, while cancelling within 60 days makes the full balance due and non-refundable.
