GLAM by Maame was created by Maame Wilson, who owns the business and works as its stylist. Weddings are the core of the work. The business states that its stylists are highly trained and certified.

Bridal hair trials are optional and carry an additional fee. On the wedding day, a two-hour block is reserved for the bride's hair. Additional people can be added to a wedding booking if the scheduled time allows, and the final list of people receiving hair services is due one month before the event. Styles for the wedding party include pin-up buns with bangs, ponytails, curls, chignon buns and butterfly ponytails.

Bridal services are provided on location at the venue, hotel or home of the bride. Wedding-day styling is not offered with travel to the stylist. Bridal payments can be split into three or four installments, and the final balance is due 30 days before the event. The Signature Elite Package includes makeup services, and makeup can be added to any other bridal package.

Bridal-only hair packages include luxe extensions, which the business says last two years or more with proper care. Clients who bring their own extensions book the Signature Package, though quality of work is not guaranteed when clients supply their own hair. Extension installs are booked before the event through a link sent to the client, and the business recommends booking the install for the same week as the wedding. Wig installation is offered as an alternative to a sew-in for an additional cost. Machine-weft wigs can be customized with bundles included in the package, and senior stylists install closures and frontals. Extensions are not included for bridesmaids.

Beyond weddings, the business offers online booking for braid prep, consultations, maintenance removal and refreshers, natural hair, ponytails, quickweave, sew-ins and tape-ins. The shop sells bridal hair pieces priced from $50 to $130, Hemma seasoning bundles, and Brazilian and Cambodian hair along with clip-ins. Sales are final, with returns or exchanges accepted only for incorrect items reported within 48 hours of receipt with photos of unworn items. Hair with opened packaging or signs of wear is not accepted for return. Shipping takes 5-7 business days, or 7-14 business days for orders placed during a sale.
