Ginkgo West sits at 700 N Lamar in Austin's West End, in Suite 200D. It is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM and closed on Sundays. The business describes itself as a destination in Austin for private esthetics.
The idea for the lounge came together during morning walks in the Barton Creek foothills. The founder previously worked as a STEM educator, and the business says its treatments are grounded in research, evidence-based practice and clinical study.
Facials are the core of the menu. The Enzymatic Facial runs 85 minutes and includes steam towels, a scalp massage, a soothing masque and Celluma red-light therapy. GW Signature runs 55 minutes and is customized to the skin's condition on the day, with a double cleanse, personalized exfoliation, a masque, lavender and eucalyptus steam towels and a shoulder and neck massage; it can be designed for sensitive skin or for clients who prefer plant-based ingredients, and it can be upgraded with add-ons. The Chakra Facial, 70 minutes, pairs the signature skincare with chakra-focused aromatherapy, minerals, sound frequency and guided breathwork meditation.
Body and peel services round out the menu. Lymphatic Drainage & Flow combines a shoulder and neck massage, dry brushing, warm river rocks and eucalyptus steam towels, and a body brush is included with each session. Chemical peels are offered for all skin types and melanin levels in a 45-minute session, and aftercare products are included with a first peel. A bundle of four 30-minute peels is listed at $187, which is individual pricing when buying four.
Beyond skin and body care, the lounge offers Metaphysical and Reiki healing sessions that include chakra alignment and energy work, intuitive readings with runestone or card reading, and spiritual coaching. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment, and pricing for The Barton and The Lady Bird can be applied to a membership.
Each facial is custom formulated during the appointment to suit the client's skin that day. The business says its treatments are designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and that it favors sustainability, with environmentally conscious and ethically sourced supplies where possible.
Treatments take place in a private esthetics room, so each visit is one-on-one.
