Nadia Kaminska founded Ginger Sugaring as a face and body care studio. The business now has two locations, one on Bedford Street in Stamford and one on Old Mamaroneck Road in White Plains.
Sugaring is the core of the menu, from bikini and Brazilian visits to body, face, and men's sugaring. The paste is made from sugar, water, and lemon with no harsh chemicals and is served lukewarm. The studio says its sugaring is safe during pregnancy and for sensitive skin.
Vajacials are a separate line of treatments. A stand-alone vajacial takes about 45 minutes on bare skin and includes steaming, cleansing, extraction of blackheads and ingrown hairs, and a mask chosen for the skin's needs. Vajacials use DMK cosmetics and a Zemits spatula with blue LED light. Brazilian visits can be paired with an acne-focused, brightening, or radiance vajacial.
Brow and lash services include shaping, tinting, lamination, and vitaminization, as well as lash lifts and combined visits. The studio does not offer lash extensions. Brow and lash effects are described as lasting an average of four to six weeks. First-time clients receive a goodie bag with their appointment, and a loyalty program lets clients earn stars for prizes.
