Get Together Salon

Get Together Salon was founded by South Bay stylists Bri Kim and Heather VanHuss. The salon sits in a brick corner building where Lomita Blvd meets Narbonne Ave, across Narbonne from Corridor Flow Coffee Shop and diagonally across Lomita Blvd from South Bay Credit Union.

The salon's stated mission is high-quality service in a playful atmosphere, with a commitment to low toxic products. The team tests a range of low tox products before choosing the hair products and color it offers, uses them whenever possible, and aims to make healthier and more sustainable choices where it can. Most products come with a refill option instead of a new bottle, and an in-salon refill program is available. Products are also sold online and in the salon, including Innersense, JVN Hairstory, Cult + King and Afterworld.

Appointments are booked through the online booking links, where scheduling, rescheduling and waitlist requests are handled. Clients can also text or call the salon. Each stylist may offer different services and pricing, so clients should review a stylist's booking, cancellation and service information before booking. General starting prices are on the services page. Color transformations and hair extensions require a consultation. The salon accepts card and Apple Pay, and tips can be sent by Venmo, Zelle or cash.

Cancellations or reschedules for haircuts, color and treatments need 48 hours notice. Appointments cancelled with less notice are charged 50% of the service price, and no-call no-shows are charged 100%. Arriving 15 minutes or more late may mean forgoing parts of the service without a price reduction. Service adjustments can be raised during the appointment or reported to the salon within one week; changes of mind after the agreed service are not included. Street parking is available on Lomita Blvd and Narbonne, plus a public lot across from the salon on Lomita Blvd.

Built around low-tox products used whenever possible, with a refill program to reduce new bottles and a stated aim of healthier, more sustainable choices where practical.
