Before each service, a consultation is held to learn about the client's skin type, sensitivities and preferences. The studio uses hard and soft waxes, chosen according to each client's skin sensitivity, and finishes every service with post-care products. Select at-home skin care products are sold, recommended by a licensed esthetician.
According to the studio, its visits are relaxed, sanitary and attentive to detail, and its approach is open to everyone, without judgment. The studio says its method lowers the likelihood of ingrown hairs and supports improved hair growth over time. It also says body waxing leaves skin soft and smooth for several weeks.
Some guidelines apply before booking. Hair should be between 1/4 and 1/2 inch long. Clients who are taking Accutane, or stopped it less than a year ago, cannot receive waxing. Clients using Retin-A or Differin are advised to stop seven days before a wax and resume seven days after. Waxing during a period is allowed, and clients are asked to wear a tampon or menstrual cup.
Listed hours are Tuesday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Each visit begins with a consultation about skin type, sensitivities and preferences, with waxes chosen to suit the client's skin.
