GelXByJulie is a Gel X nail studio on Paramount Boulevard in Downey. The menu starts with Gel X removal at $25 and a structure manicure from $70, then moves to Gel X sets in short, medium and long lengths, each from $80 to $100 and taking 90 minutes. Each set includes a shape of your choice and one polish color, and add-ons raise the price. Artist Freestyle, from $100 and 120 minutes, lets clients choose length, shape, color and design, with pricing varying by the design.

Booking runs on a card on file, with payment made in cash at the visit. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late are charged a $15 late fee, and appointments are canceled after a 5-minute grace period without prior notice. Changes or cancellations need 48 hours' notice; inside that window, a charge of half the total service cost applies. Appointments set at 5 AM, 6 AM or 7 PM carry an extra $25 charge, while those starting between 7 AM and 6 PM do not. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 7 AM to 5 PM, Friday 7 AM to 7 PM, Saturday and Sunday 7 AM to 3 PM, with Monday and Wednesday closed.

Foreign sets, including gel manicures, regular polish and extensions of any kind, are not worked on or removed, so clients should arrive with clean, bare nails. Removing an existing set means booking the removal service. Arriving with a foreign set or not following the policies may lead to a request to reschedule and a 50% cancellation fee. The owner may refuse service at her discretion, and clients who are unwell or have been near someone sick are asked to reschedule. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100, $200 or a custom amount, and sales are final.
