Geist Hair Studio

Geist Hair Studio is a hair studio in Jamaica Plain where several stylists work independently from one shared space. The room is about 700 square feet with limited seating, so it feels small and private.

The studio describes its aim as a calm, mindful place to have your hair done. Each stylist sets their own schedule and takes bookings directly, by contacting them or through the booking site. The studio itself does not manage appointments.

Visit terms are firm. Changes and cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, with 48 hours requested. Late and partial cancellations carry a fee of half the scheduled service, payable before rebooking. Arriving ten or more minutes late may mean losing part or all of the appointment, and missed appointments without notice are charged in full.

Families are encouraged to plan ahead. Minors need a parent or guardian present for the entire visit. Clients under 13 should first confirm with their stylist, since not every stylist offers children's services. Babies and toddlers can't come in, and bulky items such as strollers have no room at the salon. Service animals recognized under the ADA are welcome, but emotional support animals, therapy animals and pets are not. Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms, a recent positive test, or recent contact with a communicable illness is asked to reschedule.
