The salon is rental-based. Stylists are independent and manage their own schedules, and lash suites can be rented from one to seven days a week. Renters have WiFi, electricity and water included, access to a washer and dryer, a discount on lash supplies (listed as 35% off, with 50% also mentioned), and brand-cohesive marketing for the salon. Apprenticeships are offered to artists not yet established enough to rent, after an interview about their goals. The salon looks for entrepreneurs who value community and support one another, and says artists travel from across the country to work there, citing pricing, reputation and marketing opportunities.

A visit begins with a consultation, and every service includes a customized design and detailed aftercare instructions. Pricing differs between apprentice and master artist levels, and the business notes that prices may change without notice. Garnet Lash also runs training for lash artists. Courses are small-group, with no more than three artists, and programs include a Garnet Standards Kit, a Brilliant Lash Pro product credit and access to an online course library. Virtual business training can be added to any program. Monterey course sessions run every other Thursday and/or Friday from 10am to 4pm, and after checkout students choose a date from a live calendar.

Stylists work independently, and each one is vetted for technique and skill to keep industry standards and client safety in place.
