Acupuncture visits can be combined with cupping, gua sha, moxibustion or electroacupuncture. Cupping uses cups that create suction and can be placed on painful areas or along the spine. Gua sha is performed with a smooth-edged tool, typically jade or rose quartz, on oiled skin, and may focus on the back, shoulders, neck or limbs. Moxibustion burns mugwort and can be applied on a needle top, directly on the skin, or with a moxa stick. Electroacupuncture connects needles through clips to a device that delivers continuous electrical pulses. The site says the cupping and moxibustion methods support circulation and healing, and that electroacupuncture is often used for pain, muscle spasms, neuropathy or atrophy. A return patient acupuncture-only visit is 45 minutes for $100, and body treatments are $120 per hour.
Microneedling covers the face and neck, and the practice can add decolletage, scalp, chest or other areas for an extra fee. A topical numbing agent goes on about 30 minutes before the 90-minute session, which is $250. The site describes microneedling as safe, effective and non-invasive, with minimal to no downtime. The PCA chemical peel is a 60-minute session for $200 using PCA Skin Peels, followed by LED light therapy with a Celluma PRO device. If a client does not have a suitable cleanser, the practice offers a sample of Osmia Organics soap after the peel.
New clients request an appointment before booking, and online booking is for existing clients only. A two-hour visit is recommended for first-time clients. Appointments can also be requested through the website. The practice does not take insurance but provides a Super Bill for submission to insurance providers, and accepts Health Savings Account and Flex Spending Account credit cards. B12 (methylcobalamin) shots are $20 and Tri-Immune Boost shots are $30. Gift cards come in $50, $100, $150, $200 or a custom amount.
Acupuncture visits often pair needling with massage meant to work along the meridians, and may include counseling and suggestions on herbal medicine, nutrition and self-care. Protocols are tailored to each client's concerns.
