Gallery of Wigs

Gallery of Wigs opened its doors in October 2007 and has grown since then. In May 2023 it moved into a neighboring space, more than doubling its back office to make room for more wigs and hair care products. The business says it has helped thousands of women with hair loss since it opened.

Appointments are required and are booked by phone. Visits begin with a complimentary wig consultation. Most first-time clients take one to one and a half hours to choose a wig. Private fitting rooms let clients try wigs on in privacy, and wig caps can be secured with a hair grip, which staff show clients how to use.

The shop serves people buying for medical reasons, people with thinning hair, and people who simply want a change of style or color. Medical clients receive a discount. Styles and colors that are not in stock can be ordered on request. Synthetic wig prices run from about $185 to $750 depending on cap construction and length, and human hair wigs from about $1,450 to $4,500. For synthetic wigs, staff offer care guidance covering washing, drying on a plastic stand and avoiding heat.

Consultations are free, and staff spend as long as a client needs to feel confident about a decision.
