The school runs five training tracks. The cosmetology track teaches work with textured hair, braiding, haircutting, styling, coloring, manicures, skincare, how to talk with clients, and how to run the business side of the trade. The barbering track focuses on cutting with clippers and scissors, razor shaving, grooming and chemical processes. Esthetics covers analyzing skin, facial treatments, waxing, makeup application, peels and higher-level spa services. The Natural Hair and Braiding program is a 300-hour course that prepares students for Illinois licensure; it teaches braiding, twisting, locking, protective styles, scalp care, sanitation and client consultation. The Master Educator course is for licensed professionals and covers teaching approaches, managing a classroom, evaluating students, planning lessons and giving demonstrations.

Continuing education classes for licensed professionals cover styling, cutting, color, natural hair, braiding, loc maintenance and makeup. They are intended for professionals completing required renewal hours every two years.

Clients can book knotless, boho knotless and box braids, feed-in cornrows, twists, crochet, wig braid-down and detangling, along with relaxers and perms, color and highlights, haircuts, sewn-in extensions and silk press. Locs, men's and boys' services, nail services, and facials, waxing, brows, lashes and makeup are also on the menu. Most services are listed as price varies on the booking site, with estimated durations from 15 minutes to four hours. Relaxers and perms are listed at $80 and take about three hours. Because appointments can run longer than at a typical salon, clients are asked to allow extra time. Tangled hair carries an added fee based on detangling time. A deep conditioning add-on costs $7 for certain services, and curly or wand-curl styles on extensions add $10.

The academy reports a 97% graduation rate and says all graduates have obtained licensure since October 2023; these are its own figures. Campus tours are available by request at the Joliet location, and payment plans are offered.
