Booking is handled online through the Gloss Genius booking profile. New clients are asked to reserve in advance because availability is limited. A deposit is required to book, and it is applied toward the services booked. The remaining balance is paid at the appointment by Apple Pay, tap or cash, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person and for bookings between $50 and $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.
Before a wax, clients should have at least a quarter inch of hair, roughly three to four weeks of growth since the last shave or wax. Clients are asked to share all medications and skincare products with their specialist. Waxing is not recommended for clients who have recently used Accutane or topical retinoids, and those products should be stopped beforehand. Waxing during a menstrual cycle is generally permitted when a clean tampon is used.
Afterward, the studio advises avoiding heat, sweating and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Gentle exfoliation can start after day three, along with daily moisturizing, which the studio recommends to help prevent ingrown hairs.
