It works by appointment only and is female only, a choice the salon says is intentional so that clients have a private environment. Services are offered to young women age 10 and older, and chemical services are not performed on children under 12. Guests may bring a friend or family member only if that person is also receiving services.

Appointments are booked online through Square, and a debit or credit card on file secures each booking without being charged unless the guest consents. Walk-ins are not accepted. Hours are Wednesday 5:30 to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm. Guests who arrive sick are asked to reschedule, and guests who arrive 15 or more minutes late may have to wait, have the appointment shortened, or move to another day.

New guests must book a New Guest service, which is also required again after more than four months without in-salon services. Color and extension services are not done at a new guest's first appointment and sometimes not at the second. Guests are asked to bring inspiration photos and questions to a first visit, and to arrive with hair fully detangled, since longer, denser, textured or tangled hair can take more time and carry extra charges. The salon may follow up by email about a week after a first visit.

Services are priced a la carte and are subject to change without notice. Prices are not set by hair pattern or texture, though extra density or additional color can lead to adjustments. Every style service includes a soothing shampoo and steam, and color must be booked together with a cut or style. Cancellations need 48 hours notice and must be made or rescheduled online, with a $75 charge for shorter notice; a no-show is charged half the service. Corrective color requires a booking fee set after an in-salon consultation. Thirty reward points earn a $20 service credit. Oklahoma University students who show a valid student ID at the start of an appointment get 10 percent off styling and curly cut services. That discount cannot be combined with rewards or promos and is valid up to six months after graduation.

Consultations take in more than the hair itself, with the aim of agreeing on near-term and longer-range care plans that match what clients can realistically expect.
