FOUSHEE salonspa was founded in 1997 by Kara Forshay, and the salon opened on April 21, 1997 under the name Salon Foushee. The business describes itself as a luxury salon and spa, and as what it calls Denver's destination for beauty, wellness and transformation. The specialties it names are luxury color, extensions and precision styling.

About

Spa skin care suites are used for facials, and each treatment begins with a skin analysis and consultation. Foushee Medspa, an aesthetic medical spa operating inside the salon, offers laser treatments, body contouring, pelvic floor treatment, TED hair restoration, Botox, Letybo and dermal fillers. A separate Total Wellness program covers vitamin B12, Lipo-Mino, NAD+, low-dose naltrexone and medical weight loss injections.

Hair stylists move through an Element System that starts at Element 1 and rises to Element 5 before Master Stylist. Education is one of the core values: the team has an educational event four times a year, monthly classes in each department, visiting nationally renowned educators, and in-house training led by senior stylists. The salon is also a L'Anza Healing Center, so the team and clients can access L'Anza cutting techniques, color training, home care and pro tools.

Ample parking is available, and the salon sits on Federal Blvd between Belleview and Bowles. Hours are Monday noon to 6, Tuesday through Thursday 9 to 7, Friday and Saturday 9 to 5, and closed Sunday. Booking and reminders run through an online system. Haircuts include a blow-dry, and color booked without a haircut needs an added finishing blow-dry. First-time extension clients book a consultation before installation, and returning clients switching extension types do too. Prices vary by stylist, and each stylist's starting price appears on the booking page. Financing at 0% is available through Cherry.

Guided by three core values: people come first, learning is ongoing, and luxury is expected at every level. Stylists advance through the Element System, and the owner personally evaluates each stylist.
