ForHair was founded by John P. Cole, MD, a hair transplant surgeon who leads the practice from its Alpharetta headquarters. The Atlanta clinic is at 1070 Powers Place, and the New York clinic is at 200 West 57th Street, Suite 403, about one block from Columbus Circle and Central Park South. Dr. Cole personally performs the surgical steps of every procedure at both clinics, and at the New York clinic every procedure is performed or directly supervised by him rather than handed to associate staff. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with weekends closed.

The practice's signature method is the Cole Isolation Technique (CIT), an FUE approach Dr. Cole developed and formalized in 2003. The business says CIT leaves minimal scarring, keeps graft transection rates under 3 percent, and reaches a graft survival rate above 97 percent. Its instruments are made by Cole Instruments, a company Dr. Cole founded in Alpharetta. For patients with scalps too tight for a strip (FUT) procedure, the business says CIT instruments still allow extraction. ForHair also offers a no-shave version, No Shave FUE (C2G), which does not require shaving the recipient area; the business notes it costs more than shaven FUE because donor hair must be trimmed, combed and extracted by hand, which is more labor intensive.
Consultations are available in person at either clinic and by free video for patients who live farther away. A consultation includes a microscope-level scalp analysis, a graft estimate and a review of which techniques suit the patient. The number of grafts is set at the consultation rather than at the maximum that could be extracted. The consultation is also listed at $200 on the service menu, so ask at booking which applies. Quotes are described as all-inclusive, covering the surgeon's fee, anesthesia and twelve months of follow-up visits, with no separate facility fees, anesthesia add-ons or itemized charges afterward. Procedures use local anesthetic, and FUE can take up to a full day, though the practice often completes it in a single appointment. Financing through Affirm and American Healthcare Lending is available, subject to approval.
Repair work is a large part of the practice. The business says about 40 percent of its patients come in to correct procedures done elsewhere, including plugs, FUT scars and unnatural results, and that repair can involve plug removal, plug redistribution, hairline and cobblestone correction and scar grafting. Non-surgical options include CRP (Cole PRP), exosome, stem cell, Alma TED and Tricopat treatments, along with donor recharging with ReyaGel. Scalp micro pigmentation is offered and is applied to camouflage hair transplant scars.
Patients travel to ForHair from across the region and beyond. The business says about 80 percent of Atlanta patients come from outside the metro area, and the New York clinic serves patients from all five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, Connecticut and out of state and abroad. Staff can help arrange travel, including hotel bookings and shuttle service. International patients need a passport valid for travel, and visa processing generally takes three to six weeks. The Atlanta clinic is about 45 minutes to 2 hours from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, depending on traffic. In New York, the nearest subway is 59th Street-Columbus Circle, served by the 1, A, B, C and D trains, about five minutes' walk away, and the Icon and MPG garages on West 57th and West 58th Streets are within short walking distance.
Each case is assessed individually, with candid feedback about options and alternative treatments where they apply. Non-surgical recommendations are based on the patient's hair loss pattern, goals and timeline.
