Folicure Frisco

Folicure is a hair replacement studio in Dallas, with its main studio in Farmers Branch and a second studio in Frisco, which the studio describes as a VIP hair replacement location. John Florig founded the business and died in 2015; Pam Florig is listed as CEO and is also described as co-founder of the Folicure Academy. The studio describes itself as the Texas leader in hair restoration for men and women, and says it has restored the hair of hundreds of men.

Hair systems are custom-made rather than mass-produced wigs or toupees, and the studio does not sell mass-produced versions. A visit starts with a free consultation and design session, with no obligation, at either location. Clients can also book Dallas VIP on-location service, which covers system design, cut-in and maintenance at a place of their choosing. Travel expenses are charged on top of service fees and vary by location and length of stay. Global VIP systems are available six to eight weeks after the initial design session. The Dallas studio has private rooms.

The studio says its pricing is more competitive than other clubs, and it donates one free procedure each quarter to a client in financial need.

Folicure Academy, the John Florig School of Hair Replacement, is in Dallas about 20 minutes from downtown. Its two-day Folicure Hair Replacement Certification Program for hairstylists costs $1,500 and covers application, maintenance, cutting and blending, client communication and marketing. Students who complete it receive a certificate of completion. The academy describes itself as a leading name in hair replacement since 1996.

Plans are individually customized for each client, and procedures are tested first to determine who is a candidate. The studio says its method avoids painful transplants and chemical treatments such as Rogaine and Propecia.
