Flutter and Glow

Flutter and Glow is located inside Laurel Clement Aesthetics at 21405 Hickory Street in Cornelius. The studio describes itself as Lake Norman's lash expert and works by appointment only. Booking is by phone or text, and hours run seven days a week, closing at 8:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00 pm on Wednesday, and 6:30 pm from Friday through Sunday. The business first opened in Charlottesville, Virginia, and later reopened in the Charlotte area.

Full sets of lash extensions take about two hours and cost $245. Each set is custom, either natural and color matched or bold, black and voluminous, with a range of curl, color and length options. Color matched options are available on every set. Fills come in three lengths: a 30-minute mini fill for $65, a one-hour standard fill for $100, and an extended fill that takes one hour and 45 minutes for $135. The lash lift and tint takes 20 minutes and costs $95.

Every lash appointment starts with a consultation on length, curl, thickness and overall style, with eye shape and natural lash length taken into account. The studio says the health of natural lashes is its top priority. Aftercare is specific to the service: lift clients keep lashes dry and free of product for 24 hours, while extension clients keep them dry for 24 to 48 hours, avoid oils, and do not apply mascara to the extensions. According to the studio, lifts last six to nine weeks and extensions last up to a month, though results depend on natural lash length, volume, lash cycle and aftercare.

Clients need to cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before an appointment. Cancellations made less than one day in advance and no-shows are charged the scheduled service. Fills booked more than four weeks after the last full set are charged as a full set.

Each appointment begins with a consultation that shapes the look around the client's eyes and natural lashes, and the studio treats the health of those natural lashes as its first concern.
