Fluid Revival started as a mobile IV therapy company and was founded by Nick Schroeder, an Austin firefighter and paramedic. Over time it added functional health, hormone optimization and peptide therapy, and it lists medical weight loss programs as coming soon.

Booking can be made by phone, text or online, and same-day appointments are available. New clients complete a waiver and a brief virtual clearance exam, and an intake form and virtual telehealth visit are required once a year; the business says these take about five minutes. Nurses typically arrive within 90 minutes of booking. Most sessions run 30 to 60 minutes, and a drip takes about 35 to 45 minutes once started. Each drip includes 1 liter of Lactated Ringer's rather than 500 ml saline bags, and any IV can be customized with vitamin add-ons for $25 each. An extra bag of fluid can be added for $99. Hours are 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, with after-hours appointments on request.

Registered nurses give every IV treatment under the supervision of medical director Hazim Rishmawi, MD, and physicians write the treatment protocols. Vitamin supplies come from 503B compounding pharmacies registered with the FDA. According to the salon, its IV ingredients and equipment carry FDA approval and its therapy is hospital grade. The FDA has not reviewed these services, and they are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Fluid Revival does not offer drug or alcohol rehabilitation.

The salon runs group IV sessions for events such as bachelor and bachelorette celebrations, wedding weekends, sports competitions, company wellness days, conventions and wellness get-togethers. Guests are supported by a concierge team that tailors help to the group, and groups of four or more qualify for a discount. Insurance does not cover the sessions, though HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Travel carries no fee inside Austin city limits; outside the city, a charge of $50 to $100 may apply. The salon reports more than 5,000 IV treatments completed and a 5-star rating from over 100 verified Google reviews.

Treatments are customized and guided by physician-formulated protocols, with Registered Nurses administering each one under medical oversight.

Treatments take place in the client's own home, office, hotel or event venue rather than a clinic.
