About

First Crush Salon was opened by co-owners Georgia Moreno and Tracey Gustave, who met while working together at a busy salon and later decided to open their own with a shared vision. The salon describes its goal as intentional, high-quality hair in a relaxed, comfortable setting, with color and cuts tailored to each guest.

The space is cozy and vintage inspired. The salon says it puts a safe, inclusive environment first, where every guest is welcome, and it uses gender-neutral pricing. It is open seven days a week, though hours vary by stylist. Each stylist sets their own rescheduling, late arrival and cancellation policies and manages their own schedule, so clients should contact their stylist directly to change or cancel an appointment. Stylist recommendation questions go through the contact page form.

A visit includes a rotating selection of drinks and snacks. Clients may bring food, but strongly fragrant food is discouraged. Children may come in only if they are getting a service. The building has men's, women's and all-gender restrooms, including one on the second floor near the salon, and a coffee shop on the first floor offers a few snacks.

Free street parking is available nearby, though parking restrictions apply on SE Division on weekdays from 4 to 6pm. Two paid lots at SE 10th and SE Division charge $1.25 per hour, and there is an additional paid lot behind the building on SE 11th with a two-hour limit. The MAX light rail line runs parallel to the building, and trains can occasionally stall and block access. The salon is also hiring part-time and full-time booth renters.

The salon focuses on personalized color and cuts, aiming for intentional, high-quality hair in a relaxed setting.

A cozy, vintage-inspired space in southeast Portland.
