Finger on the Pulse

Finger on the Pulse is a one-person nail studio at 4180 Treat Blvd, Suite 100C, in Concord. Margo Spreen, the licensed nail technician, works from a private studio that the business describes as sensory friendly and ADA accessible.

Gel nails are the main focus. Sets can be done in any length or shape, and the gel category covers gel manicures, builder gel, hard gel and extensions. A one-color gel service covers solid colors, glitters, chromes and cat-eye finishes. Nail art is offered at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, and clients can text ahead to find which level fits their design idea.

For clients who prefer no gel, a dry manicure takes about 30 minutes and includes cuticle and nail cleanup, a moisturizing oil and a hot towel. Polish is limited to a small selection of regular lacquer, or clients can bring their own regular polish. Gel or acrylic removal, whether the work was done here or elsewhere, takes about an hour and ends with cleanup of the bare nails and cuticles.

Hours are Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 12 PM to 9 PM; the studio is closed on Fridays and Saturdays. Cancellations and reschedules can be managed online before the 24-hour window. A 30% fee applies to changes made within 24 hours of the appointment and to no-call no-shows. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.
