fika was built on a passion for excellence and artistry, with the aim of helping each guest find their own style and experience. The name comes from the Swedish coffee break, a pause for slowing down and finding balance, and the salon carries that idea into each visit. The salon says its artists are inspired and here to listen, guide and create, and says they have received extensive haircutting training and keep up with current haircutting techniques and trends.

Services cover women's and men's haircuts, blowouts and styling, single process color and gloss, dimensional color done either with traditional foil from roots to ends or with balayage/foilyage for a soft blend, formal down-dos and up-dos, add-ons such as root smudge and color melt, hair extensions, makeup, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, and waxing. Online consultation is available before booking. Hair extension prices are set after consultation, and custom color can be applied to extensions so they blend in.

Booking policies: all service sales are final and non-refundable, and corrective services are offered in place of refunds. Cancellations made 48 hours or more ahead are charged 10% of the service cost, and cancellations made 24 hours or less ahead are charged 25%. After three or more cancellations in a calendar year, guests may not be permitted to reschedule future appointments. An 18% gratuity applies to services over $75. Guests who consent to SMS receive appointment-related texts, and message and data rates may apply.

Parking: metered street parking is available in Hatboro at $0.25 per hour, or the Hatboro Municipal Parking Lot at 25 W Moreland Ave costs $1 per day. The salon says it will reimburse guests for their parking. Hours are Tuesday 10am to 7pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 7pm, Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm.
