FB Barber & Braiding is a studio on East Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis, opened in 2020 by Firehwoit, who has more than twenty years of experience in barbering and braiding. The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 6:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are preferred.

Firehwoit began an apprenticeship in 2003 under master stylists in Addis Ababa, where she trained in straight-razor work and traditional braiding patterns. She went on to study advanced cornrow, twist and box braid techniques across East Africa. In 2009 she was labeled a Master of Braiding, and in 2014 she moved to Minneapolis and built a clientele in local shops before opening her own studio.

The menu is grouped into hair cuts, braiding, hair coloring, restorative treatments and styling. Men's cuts include a shave, line-up and tape-up, and kids' cuts include precision line-ups with complimentary styling. Braiding services, including Style Braid for Men, Boho Long Braid, cornrows, twists and hair sawing, require a prior consultation. Online booking is not available on Thursdays and Fridays, so clients on those days are asked to visit or call. Online requests are confirmed by phone within one business day.
