FaithElectrolysis is run by one electrologist, Faith Electrolysis, who moved the practice back to Oregon after years of working with clients in other parts of the country. The work is limited to electrolysis, and the practice welcomes women whose hair growth is tied to puberty, pregnancy, PCOS, endometriosis, hysterectomy or menopause.
The studio is in a cottage house in Sellwood with its own private entrance. It has a private restroom, and biodegradable toilet seat covers and sanitary products are provided. Treatment appointments are by appointment only, and every new client begins with a consultation. Inquiries arrive by referral or through the website contact form and are reviewed before anything is scheduled.
Electrolysis can be used on many areas, including the lip, chin, eyebrows, sides of the face, hairline, neck, arms, underarms, back, breast, chest, stomach, bikini lines, legs, feet and hands. Hair on moles can be treated once a doctor confirms the mole is not cancerous. Genital areas and buttocks are not treated. Pregnant clients are advised to skip breast and belly areas during the third trimester.
Over-the-counter numbing cream may be recommended for sensitive areas or sessions. Improvement is expected within a few weeks of the first treatment, and full removal takes regular sessions over time. Listed prices cover preparation and photos, treatment time, cool down and clean up, and payment and rescheduling. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice carry an $80 fee, and cancellations with less than 12 hours notice are charged the full appointment cost. Cancelling after the appointment time, or not arriving, counts as a no-show and is charged the full reserved time. Late arrivals are charged from the scheduled arrival time. Unpaid fees from earlier cancellations or no-shows must be settled before the next visit, and after three no-shows the practice may suggest the client see another electrologist.
Focuses on electrolysis for women whose hair growth is linked to hormonal and reproductive changes, using a small, referral-first intake.
A quiet, private studio with soft instrumental music, nature imagery and gentle white light.
