The Toms River studio is at 1151 Church Road and serves Ocean, Monmouth and Mercer Counties; pricing for travel outside that area is requested directly. The Berlin, Connecticut location serves surrounding towns across the state. Stacy Mitchell, who founded the business, works at the New Jersey location, and Emily Pajor is the fairy hair professional in Connecticut.
Appointments and inquiries are made by text or phone, and cancellations are made by text. Parties are a major part of the business: private parties such as graduations, kids' birthdays, showers, bat mitzvahs, proms and corporate events have a two-hour minimum of $300 on weekdays and $350 on weekends, and girls' night guests can each pay for their own services as long as the total meets that minimum. Parties for eight or more guests can be held at the client's location, and pop-up services can be scheduled at a retail shop at the host business's location.
Fairy hair lasts until the natural hair it is attached to sheds, which can take days, weeks or months. Bonus strands are provided when one or two strands fall out in the first few days. The studio notes that children ages 6 and under may lose several strands in those first days, so the wear time can be shorter for them.
Fairy hair is attached in sets sized by strand count, with the option of a chunkier beaded version, and services are offered in the studio, at client locations for parties, or at pop-ups in retail shops.
